Did you know New Mexico was the home of the first wine producing vineyards in North America and that California did not begin cultivating wine-producing vines until 140 years later?

Today, Estrella Del Norte Vineyard continues New Mexico's centuries-old tradition of dedication to and respect for wine production.

The owners of Estrella Del Norte Vineyard, Richard and Eileen Reinders, purchased acreage in the Pojoaque Valley, just 15 minutes outside Santa Fe. Here Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon vines were struggling to remain vibrant. Richard and Eileen have spent many hours of physical labor resurrecting and re-invigorating this jewel of a winery. Along the way, they have created an extraordinary venue perfect for events of every kind.

Passport New Mexico, Inc. is pleased to provide premier event planning for Estrella Del Norte Vineyard, the unexpected location for events such as corporate meetings, cooking classes, dinners, reunions, weddings and holiday parties for up to 600 guests. And, of course, wine tastings. The Wine Tasting Room features award winning wines from Northern New Mexico Wineries, including: Black Mesa Winery, La Chiripada Winery, and Wines of San Juan. Private wine tastings are available.

The Wine Tasting Room is open 6 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Wine Tasting Room is subject to closure during private events.
