Walking or Tram Tour of Santa Fe

A wonderful way to see the "City Different," and to learn about its 400 years of Western culture and history, and over 1000 years of Native American heritage. Visits to major historic landmarks are enhanced by the fact, fiction, lies and legends shared by the guides.

Hispanic Culture

Travel to Chimayo to learn why the Santuario de Chimayo is called the "Lourdes of the Southwest." Hear stories of the miraculously healed. Visit weavers and artisans who have revived the techniques of their Spanish ancestors. Journey along the "High Road to Taos" and visit mountain villages tucked into the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

Native American Ancestral Sites and Modern Pueblos

Tours of historic and pre-historic sites offer fascinating and different looks into the ancient lives of the Native Americans. Bandelier National Monument on the Pajarito Plateau abounds with caves carved into the soft volcanic tufa; and Pecos National Historic Park is one of New Mexico's most interesting Pueblo ruins resting beside the ruins of an old Spanish Mission. A trip to Taos Pueblo and the Taos Plaza area combines the historic with the modern.

All homes wear a coat of brown stucco, but what lies behind the walls? At our of some of Santa Fe's private homes is a visit into a world of refined beauty and color, as well as unique gardens of high desert flora. Walk the streets of Santa Fe and learn about the Pueblo Revival period of the early 20th Century that changed the face of Victorian Santa Fe, and the different architectural styles that create the city's unique look and feel.

Backstage Opera Tour

On this tour of the Santa Fe Opera, you will learn a great deal about creating the magic of theater. You will step behind the scenes to the costume shop, the prop shop, and the set construction area. You will visit the front of the house and learn about the stage and the orchestra pit. You also will see the Stage Manager's console from which all the back stage is directed. If you listen very quietly, perhaps you'll hear the echo of a past performance . . .

Shopping Santa Fe

To some of us, shopping is a way of life, so we've included this as a 'cultural tour'. One of Santa Fe's consummate shoppers will share her shopping secrets, and your guests will learn how to tell the good from the bad, the real from the unreal. Then it's off to "shop 'til they drop!" Enjoy a fashion show of Santa Fe Style, renowned for its textures, colors and wearability, as your guests relax over brunch, lunch or an afternoon tea. Or for something really special, have your guests create and model their own version of Santa Fe Style!
